Thiel is a co-founder and major shareholder of Palantir Technologies—a mass surveillance company that has been providing its AI-powered tools to the Israeli security forces as well as the US military, immigration authorities, and police departments. In January Palantir entered a “strategic partnership” with Israel’s Ministry of Defense to “help the war effort.” Details regarding Nanotronics’ clients/contracts are not easily accessible, but according to their website they provide “automated process control services for the aerospace & defense sector”, and partner “with the most influential aerospace companies in the world to deliver exceptional high-volume output.”
Honeybee Robotics is an engineering consultant and aerospace manufacturer that makes “robotic systems that address the unique missions of specialized units in both the military and first responder communities.” It is a subsidiary of Blue Origin, an aerospace manufacturer and defense contractor owned by Jeff Bezos. Honeybee Robotics has received millions of dollars in contracts from the US Department of Defense, and they also have partnerships with Lockheed Martin and Boeing.
Newlab is a technology center at Brooklyn Navy Yard that collaborates with Decisive Point, National Security Innovation Network, and Air Force Research Laboratory to host “NSIN Propel, a program designed to enable the development of next-generation applications of emerging dual-use technology for government and defense.” This program connects military tech startups to investors and serves “as a center of gravity for the Department of Defense (DoD) innovation community in the mid-Atlantic region.”
